Dancing the Paneurhythmy

Paneurhythmy at Videlinata, Switzerland

Master Peter Deunov also created a kind of rhythmic dance: the Paneurhythmy, for which he composed the music and the choreography. Paneurhythmy is danced outdoors in the morning at most centers on Sundays and occasionally also during the week. The brothers and sisters revolve in pairs, forming a vast circle. All the gestures of the Paneurhythmy, although very simple, are of great plastic beauty. They correspond to a profound science of the psychic structure of beings and acoustic laws. It is worth knowing the meaning of these gestures, understanding how they bring us into contact with the harmonious forces and currents of nature. Even if we do not know their meaning, we feel their beneficial action, we are soothed, strengthened.

Moving with the rhythms of nature

The Paneurhythmy is danced in the open air in the morning in spring and summer… It is an evocation of nature awakening in the spring. Through the music and dance, we participate in this renewal, and it is as if we were drinking the elixir of immortal life. Gestures and music together are very powerful… When you dance the Paneurhythmy, you are learning to adapt your thoughts, feelings and actions to the highly beneficial rhythms of nature.
